Felt Food
No, this is not a new diet. On Wednesday, January 6 in the Herald Journal, in the Life section of the paper, they highlighted a new trend of people making/selling felt food. They are doing this as an alternative to the plastic food for kids to play with that keep getting recalls for lead contamination.
Bug Bites Play Food is the blog that the article highlighted. It was started by an Orem, Utah woman. You can view her designs and read what has inspired her creations. She has one free pattern if you would like to make some for yourself,Felt Cookie Tutorial. If you would just like to put in your felt food grocery order then visit her Etsy online store.
Here are more patterns:
Snazzle Craft
Craft Gossip
American Felt & Craft
Keeper of the Cheerios
I read that one woman had made individual spaghetti noodles for her kids to stir around in their little pot instead of the hard blob of spaghetti that you can get in the stores. I like being in the kitchen and I love these felt foods for kids.
