Bottling Chicken
Have you ever had bottled meat? My Grandma used to bottle deer meat and it was so tender & non-gamy and complete with the juices for your gravy. My Mom would put it over rice, potatoes, pasta, and use it in casseroles. We loved it!
Have you ever bought chicken in a can? I have and I have spent almost $8 on a larger can, I can't remember the exact ounces. I bought it because it was a way to store meat without taking up freezer space.
I now have my Grandma's pressure cooker so I am going to bottle my own chicken and save major $$$. Macey's has 40lb boxes of boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $59.60, that is $1.49 per pound!
